Stopped by to look at a used Expedition Limited, and ended up taking it home. The experience was as smooth as could be. They made an offer on my trade I countered and we came to an agreement. No disappointing surprises. What was said was the outcome. Price was fair and I was taken for a customer that was ready, willing, and able. Ordering/Buying process went very smoothly. We actually went to three other Ford dealerships before deciding to purchase our vehicle at Hilbish (we also purchased our last Explorer at Hilbish as well). Only issue we had was that the brand new Explorer we ordered had some scratches on the hood. A bit disappointing to park it in the garage and see that right away. But we called Dennis and he told us to bring it in as soon as possible and they would try to buff the scratches out.
Hilbish Ford in Kannapolis, NC has been my dealer of choice since it opened in 1955. Specifically, I have purchased or leased every Ford vehicle through Bill Overcash, who has been with Hilbish from it's beginning. My wife's Freestyle was due for it's second 50,000 mile CVT transmission service. Not all dealers have the proper fluids and equipment to work on the CVT because so few were produced. Ford/ZF Friedrichshafen stopped production of the CFT30 and CFT23 transmissions after 2007. We just happened to be in North Carolina, 750 miles from home and I figured we'd wait until we got back to Northern PA for service.
